On a marathon walk with a friend in Austin last week, we passed a home that used old, rusty pipes as planters. There were only maybe four, and the height and diameter of them varied, but some were really tall. The pipes were obviously embedded pretty far in their yard for stability. They all looked like found objects, or at least easy junkyard scores.
I’ve never seen planters like this before, but they looked super cool and go nicely with our recycled/repurposed house theme. Of course, I never have my camera when I need it, so the pictures below almost capture what I liked.
