I used to play school every day with friends after attending real school, which probably led me straight to my first career as a teacher. My favorite part about playing school was using a chalkboard, and I was totally disappointed that my classroom had a dry-erase board instead.
I’ve seen a lot of chalkboards in homes today, and my husband is a big fan for their functionality. I know they are easy enough to paint (one of the pics below even uses painted Ikea cabinets), but I wonder how difficult they are to clean and maintain in the real world.
