Getting Soaked

We’ve decided on the general look of our kitchen faucet…ooooooh, excitement, huh?  While it certainly isn’t the biggest decision we have ahead of us, it is the start of many.  We like the general look of the tall, curved, single-handled faucet in the kitchen below:

I did a little research and found the exact and similar faucets on Amazon (the exact model is Lafroy Brooks on the left, Hansgrohe is on the right), and the prices are ridiculous:

I’ve always heard you can eat up your construction budget in no time on fixtures, but this proves it!  I looked a little further and found similar models (Moen on the left, Ikea on the right) for a fraction of the cost:

While the Ikea faucet is cheapest, I’m going to have to do a bit more research on the reliability/installation of it vs. the others before making a final decision.

The faucet below seems to be really popular right now in design magazines, but it just reminds me of my days as a busboy/dishwasher at Bob Evans…and the price, wha???
