Stamped Cement

I love a good bakery. Panscape, a bakery in Japan, is especially inviting because of their front step:

How great would this idea be for a house’s stoop?  When I first saw this picture, I thought it was a stamp in the concrete, rather than the brass letters that are actually used for the name.  It got me thinking about how easy and inexpensive it would be to make a stamp to place after the concrete was poured for a really personal message: maybe a homeowner’s address, their last name, or move-in date.  It could be something that stays with the home for years to come.  Way better than scrawling your name with a stick into freshly poured cement, right?
