Native Inspiration

I look at a lot of pictures of design and architecture on the web and in magazines, but I don’t often stumble across a real, live inspiration (or, if I do, I never have my camera nearby). While driving around last weekend with a friend, I stopped right in the middle of the street to jump out of my car and take a picture of this place (hence, the bad photos):

I love everything about this building: the slats of wood in opposite directions, the steel beams, the pavers in the front, the horizontal and odd-shaped windows, the awnings. It’s all so industrial-modern, and it gives me a bunch of ideas for our future house.

While taking pictures, I happened to notice that it was Native Citizen, a refurbished furniture store another friend of mine has been telling me about for weeks. It’s got great stuff inside too!
